The US Patent and Trademark Office is implementing a Patent Prosecution Highway pilot program with the National Institute of Industrial Property of France (INPI) under a bilateral partnership. The pilot program runs from December 1, 2021 through November 30, 2024.
US patent applicants using the pilot program may submit a PPH request with the USPTO based on a patent application that was filed in the INPI of France on or after May 22, 2020. The USPTO will use the PPH applicant's positive ruling on patent claims from the INPI of France to accelerate prosecution of corresponding claims in the USPTO.
